All the pubs taking part in Hull’s L&N Alcohol Zone offer a great range of low and alcohol free drinks for you to try. The maps will show which establishments are participating and which options they have available for you to try.
Whether you’re going on a night out or just fancy a couple, it doesn’t have to turn into a hangover.
What is a Low Alcohol drink?
Low alcohol drinks contain less alcohol than standard beers and ciders, which is shown by the Alcohol by Volume (ABV) marked on the bottle or can.
Alcohol-free drinks contain no more than 0.5% ABV whereas low-alcohol drinks can contain up to 1.2% ABV.
Benefits of reducing alcohol consumption.
Cutting down on alcohol or choosing not to drink can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Many people notice improvements such as better sleep, increased energy, improved mood, weight loss, and clearer skin.
Over time, reducing alcohol intake can also lower blood pressure, improve liver function, and significantly reduce the risk of serious long-term illnesses.
Wider wellbeing benefits.
The benefits of drinking less are not just physical. Many people find improvements in mental wellbeing, relationships, productivity, and finances when they reduce or stop drinking.
Even small changes can make a meaningful difference.
